Winter Storm Warning 10am to Midnight for 5-8″ of new.

It’s a chilly start in the teens with wind chills in the single digits as you head out. Bundle up and don’t forget the snow scraper today. The heaviest snow comes later in the afternoon and evening. That means the evening drive will not be pretty, so make plans to leave early or late to avoid the peak commute dangers. We may see snow coming down at a rate of 1-2” an hour from 3pm to 6pm. Temps stay in the low and mid 20s with winds SW/SE 5-10 mph.

Snow showers taper off tonight and overnight and the morning drive Thursday will also be icy and slow. We will see the sun busting out tomorrow and temperatures will stay in the low and mid 20s with the fresh snow pack and lighter winds NW 5-12 mph, so it is going to feel very cold again Thursday all over SE Lower Michigan. More snow showers coming and going Friday for another fresh coating.
