Back to school Night at Schoolhouse,Canton
Schoolhouse Montessori Academy, Canton is having their Back to School Night on Friday, September 19th 6-8pm.
Schoolhouse Current and future families are invited to our back to school night tomorrow. There are lots of fun activities planned, such as a magic show, temporary tattoos, balloon artists, crafts, face painting, portable bowling lanes and lot more. Hope to see you all there:)
Power Restored at Farmington Hills
Power has been restored at Farmington Hills as of 7:20pm, September 9, 2014. School will resume tomorrow September 10, 2014.

We have been contacted by DTE Energy. The status update from DTE reported that there was “extensive damage” to the circuit powering our Farmington Hills location and the surrounding area. As a result, they will be sending out a crew to install a generator because the repairs to the circuit will take a quite a lot more time to complete. DTE has not scheduled a time for the generator installtion with us yet. However as soon as we have more information we will continue to post it here.
Please note, the Farmington Hills campus is closed Tuesday, September 9, 2014 due to the continued power interruption in the area. DTE estimates the power will be resotred at 11:30pm on September 9th. For more information see DTE Outage Map.
In the event that the power is not resotred by Wednesday, Septmeber 10, 2014, Schoolhouse will offer limited childcare at our Canton location (1669 South Haggerty Rd.). To reserve at spot please call our Canton location before 5pm on Spetember 9, 2014 (734.405.2345).
We will continue to update the status as more information becomes available.

The power remains out at Farmington Hills but according to DTE status updates, there is a repair truck on site examining the issue. The esitmated repair time remains 11:30pm on September 8th. We will continue to post updates as the status changes. For more information see DTE Outage Map.

Dear Parents,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for choosing Schoolhouse Montessori Academy. We appreciate your support and cooperation. You have helped us run the summer program smoothly. It is unbelievable, summer is coming to an end and fall will be here soon. For those of you not returning in September, we wish you all the best and hope to see you again next summer. For our returning families, we will have another great year.
With that being said, for those of you attending Week 10, our theme is Schoolhouse – the Musical II. Ms. Sara Herring, our own talented musician, will be directing the program the entire week. All parents/families are welcome to join us on Friday, August 22nd at 10:00am in the multipurpose room for the performance.

Schoolhouse Montessori Academy-Troy campus still enrolling!
The Troy campus is growing rapidly, with that being said, we are still open for enrollment for Lower Elementary and ages 3-6 years. It is important to know that laying a strong foundation for your child from a very young age is a life time investment. It is never too late to make decisions. To make it convenient for you, the registration for the 2014-2015 school year will stay open until October 31st, 2014. We strongly recommend to call, email, or walk in to take a private tour. Mr. Paul Dwyer, our Troy campus Admission coordinator, will be delighted to answer all of your questions. Our office is open from 8:00 am until 5:30pm. At the moment, our Troy campus Toddler classroom is full. However, we are accepting applications for our wait list. If you are interested please stop by and take a tour. We would love to place you on our wait list. As soon as the opportunity arises, your child will be invited to experience a lifetime of learning at schoolhouse Montessori Academy. Contact us at 248-649-6149, Monday through Friday. If week days are impossible to take a tour, we will be very happy to accommodate the tour on Saturday by appointment only.
Troy-Schoolhouse Montessori Academy Back to School Packet
Time flies by very fast and quickly, and we all know fall will be here very soon. The Troy campus is gearing up and preparing for the brand new 2014-2015 school session. The back to school packet went home last week, so please make a point to read and understand all the contents of the document. All the paperwork must be returned to the school by August 22nd. The instructions to obtain the paperwork from the website www.schoolhousemontessori.com is included in the packet. We are looking forward to a new and exciting school year.
