Pesticide Application: Canton School June 1, 2013

We just want to notify families that a general pest prevention application will take place June 1, 2013 at the Canton location. The pesticide is a preventative measure to ensure no insects decide to enroll in the school :)! We typically do preventative procedures 4 times a year.

Oakland Pet Adoption Center Brings Pup, Kittens to Visit Schoolhouse Montessori Toddlers

Credit courtesy Schoolhouse Montessori AcademyToddlers at Schoolhouse Montessori Academy of Farmington Hills received a special surprise July 11 when the Oakland Pet Adoption Center brought Longbottom, a hound mix, and two grey kittens, Steve and Steveo, to their classroom. 

The Center staff shared the value of caring for pets and the key to being a good pet owner. Topics included supplying food, water, shelter, veterinary care, exercise and love. Students also learned about the importance of keeping pets licensed and having some form of identification on your pet, in case they get lost.

Schoolhouse Montessori Academy Students Donate to Canton Goodfellows

School’s first annual ‘Turkey Trot’ benefit aimed at collecting food for Canton families.

Schoolhouse Montessori Academy‘s First Annual Turkey Trot “was a great success,” according to an email to Canton Patchc from Anjilla Young,family concierge for the school, at 1669 Haggerty Rd.

Students spent part of Wednesday jogging around the school’s parking lot, earning the laps based on donations brought in by their families for the Canton Goodfellows.
